New to Portsmouth

Hi, I'm moving from Australia to Portsmouth in Dec 09 and keen to meet up with some like-minded Mums. I have one son (Ben) who is one. His favourite carrier at the moment is a Didymos silk indio. We walk nearly every day for about an hour.

I have been wondering what other toddler wearing Mums do in England when it rains (as I'm told it does a lot)? Do you carry an umbrella or put a raincoat over both of you?

I'm also keen for any travel tips with small children as we plan to go across to Europe and see as much as we can.
