Glasgow Meeting Calendar April - June

We meet monthly in The Lane from 11am - 1pm (though many stay on a bit for the 2 for 1 pizza deals!!)

We have lots of different slings and carriers now, but please post any requests in advance and we'll do our best to find them. We also have other babywearing gear, such as covers and coats which may be useful for people to have a look at over the winter months!

These are the suggested dates for April - June, any questions/issues, let us know.

I bought a Connecta but son hates it so wanted to try a Bush Baby Cocoon and a Baby Bjorn Active. I have a curved spine and need good support. Will these 2 be available to try at the April meet?

Hi and welcome to Sling Meet, it would be great to see you next week.

I don't have any of these two carriers and no experience with them but someone else might. But bring the Connecta, it's a very good carrier so maybe it just needs a bit of adjustment to make it comfortable for both of you.

I also have a curved spine so I'm really careful with my carriers or my back (and head and shoulders!

really hurt.

How old is your son?

My son is 13 weeks old but is big for his age. c. 17lb now. I missed the march meet by 2 days and went ahead and bought the connecta as finding it difficult to shop etc with pram, baskets...

At that age, many of the slings we have at the meeting will be lovely. I'll email Hannah of Connecta to see if she has any tips that we can try next week. Would you be able to take a picture of you carrying your little one (from the front, side and back) so we can see what she says?

I'd like to come along to the next meet, can you let me know where and when? I have a Hug-a-bub and have just bought a Maya Ring Sling and I'm trying getting to grips with it but having a few initial problems.

Hi, sorry I couldn't make it! I was disappointed, but my son wasn't up to it as he is getting four teeth at once, and I ended up coming down with a cold. I am definitely going to make it to one of these as soon as I can.

I'd like to come along to the June meet up and was wondering if you have a date yet? I'm due at the end of June and would like to use a sling but I'm very confused about which one to get as there seems so much choice out there. Any advice would be hugely appreciated!

sorry i didn't get on here earlier - here is the info for the june and july meets:

as ever, we will meet 11am-1pm in The Lane (Ashton Lane, Glasgow) - find us in the room at the end of the bar.

dates are friday june 19th and friday july 24th.

it was lovely to see those who came last month, and we look forward to meeting any newbies this month! any owners of stretchy wraps, please bring them if possible because we always need a couple to demonstrate with - i will have a non-stretchy wrap, pouches, ring slings, mei tais and a Connecta with me. any other requests?!
