Hi, I am organizing a new sling meet in September for those who are interested in slings and want to know more about slings and how to use them. I have two possible dates, either Friday the 3rd of September or Saturday the 4th of September. If you have any opinions on one of them or prefer one just write back. The venue will be Bristo Church, 196 Peffermill Rd. For map see http://www.bristochurch.com/location. Bus 14 or 30 from north bridge and 21 or 42 from cameron toll. I will bring my slings, which you all are very welcome to try, but I don't have a sling library so feel free to bring your own slings. Hello :hello: I'm Emma! I'm babywearing mummy to an 18 month old and have decided to start up a slingmeet in my part of Fife. This is all a bit new to me so post or PM if i've left any info out, or if you want to ask me anything.

Venue: Church Hall, round the back of St-Peter-in-Chains RC Church, 28 Hope Street, Inverkeithing KY11 1LW

Tuesday 24 August 2010, 2-4 pm - very informal meeting for chat, a cuppa and trying out available slings

Tea/coffee provided

There is no set charge for the hall hire but donations for the hall upkeep gratefully received by the church although not obligatory!

I don't have a sling library as such but will bring some of my own wraps and a couple of carriers which people are welcome to try on the day. I'm hoping that some people coming along will bring their own wraps and slings for everyone to try out so if you have a wrap/ring sling/mei tai/pod or onbu/pouch/soft structured carrier etc please feel free to bring them along - the more variety the merrier!!

Toys aren't provided for kids at the moment so feel free to bring some of your own - hopefully, this may change in future :)

Looking forward to meeting lots of new people! - please come along and join us!! Don't worry if you're new to babywearing - everyone's welcome for a play and a natter.
