Hopefully the weather will be lovely :cool: so I suggest we try to meet at the toddler playground in the Environment Park behind the leisure centre. Wet weather plan could be upstairs at the library again.

What days suit people best? The week commencing the 14th I may have family visiting on the Mon/Tues but other days are ok. The following week I think I am free every day. Post your preferred day/times and we'll try to suit as many as possible :)

I dont work Tuesdays or Fridays so can meet on either of those dates pretty much anytime :D but I've not been to sevenoaks before either so nearer the time if someone can let me know where it is and I will use the satnav.

Also just so you all know though, I've not used a sling before so hoping you can all help me :D I'm looking at buying a mei tai :D I dont have it yet so i'll be the one with the buggy lol

I can't do weds 11-12 any week, but otherwise free. Mon 14th some NM are meeting at Godstone farm which I might tag along to (anyone welcome).

Izziesmum - I have a home made mei-tai I can bring along but it is pretty big as I made it toddler sized. I also have a patapum (ssc with buckles). I'm sure others will be able to bring different types.

The postcode of the Leisure Centre in Sevenoaks is TN13 1LW. There is a big pay and display car park there and the gate into the Environment Park is right next to it.

Izziesmum, don't think there's a slinglibrary (pls someone correct me if I'm wrong) but you can try slings at the slingmeet!! If you let us know how old your lo one is and what you are looking for we could try and bring that along?

As for Sevenoaks - I could do either Tuesday 22rd or Thursday 24th, any time (though ideally avoiding the 11 - 1 nap window :)).

Regarding Sevenoaks meet I can do M-T-W-F am until 12. Seb is changing his nap pattern so I can go out for longer without interruptions ;)

So would Tuesday 22nd in the morning look ok for a reasonable number of people? H is at pre-school 9 to 11.45 so I could do times in between that - from 9.30 or 10 onwards depending on how early others thought they might be able to make it?

22nd is good for us but we do need to be back at 12 to take A to preschool.
Bally, I have a maya MT, very similar to a conversion. Super comfy and even though it has a big body is very adaptable. Tiggercats uses is with her little one!

The earlier the better for us, P usually wants a nap by 1130 (and doesn't usually sleep slung any more, sadly), so we'd be off by then.

I've just received a lovely toddler MT - a bebinaer with padded waist and straps, very comfy - I'm not sure we will get much use from it as DP says he doesn't think he'll wear it (sob). Happy to bring it along for you to try too Bally... (ETA - oh, I think I misinterpreted which huge child you meant! It would fit M, be too big for W though!)

Thanks puddock we'll be there as early as possible. I did mean W who at 5 months really is toddler size - according to the weight charts he is the size of an average 16 month old :eek: I've got a nice sturdy mt a bamberoo which I've been using for back carries around the house when he sleeps but it doesn't seem right on my shoulders when I do the ruck style thing, but if I try and cross the straps at the front they either squash too much or strangle me! I need help! Thinking ssc might be the best idea now. Petite calyx doesn't feel right with him so I'm vaguely thinking of an oh snap. Anyway ramble ramble. I'd love to learn back wraps too as I have a hunch they'll be most comfortable once I've learnt how to do it properly. Looking forward to seeing you girls xxx

Okay - so as the forecast is good for Tuesday lets go for the toddler playground in the Environment Park behind Sevenoaks Leisure Centre. There is a pay and display car park next to the leisure centre and to get to the playground you go through the little wooden gate behind the leisure centre cafe then walk round to the left. There are a couple of picnic benches there. I'll be there from 9.30. I have to leave by 11.30 to collect dd from pre-school but if ds gets fed up and keeps running off might not last quite that long!
