I just wanted to say that anyone who thinks that stay at home mums watch daytime telly all day is very mistaken.

I just re-roofed my shed single handed in the pouring rain and wind. Imagine it - Krista up a ladder with a giant piece of roofing felt blowing around in heavy winds...Katherine (my daughter) standing at the door telling me she needs a wee...rain streaming down my face....clout nails in my mouth and a hammer in my hand.

Now if I had done it wearing a sling...that would have been impressive!

I've decided that I deserve a new fluffy for my efforts...

big smiles,
krista

Oh wow you TOTALLY deserve a new fluffy, in fact make that TWO new fluffies!!!!

I was watching that wind and rain from the safety of the bed as I was feeding Mila to sleep and saying 'god I'm glad I don't have to go out in that!'

Well done (round of applause!) I am very impressed!

xx

WTG Krista you are super mum :D

We were out on it on the way home from a Home Ed group, ds2 slept snuggly in our Kindercoat and had no idea it was hailing lol.

Krista, you are a super woman!!!

I also didn't step out today. We even had a tornado a couple of blocks away from us! 8o

The funny thing is that I actually had to do it twice! - the first time I couldn't find the clout nails and just tacked the roof down and threw some bricks on it - only to find that the wind had blown it off AGAIN....so into the shed I went with the torch to find the proper nails...and up the ladder in the dark.

Us Canadians are made of hearty stuff (lol...)

Although I think my shed pales in comparison to a Tornado!
