This morning, I was going around cleaning like a headless chicken. I was expecting a visitor.
And Kai was being very clingy, and crying for my love.
I took Julian out and put him on my back, and he fell asleep right away.
Ok, this is not a new story but I just felt, "aaaah", iYKWIM. :]
What can any mum live without babywearing, cause I don't know what I would have done it.
I just wanted to share my "aaaah" moment with you. :))
Happy babywearing day! :D

ahhhh indeed
I have no idea how non- babywearing mums manage with little ones - even with Will at 22 months he still likes to be carried at home if he's not well etc
Is Julian your favourite Jin-Hee?

Oh that is soooooo sweet!
I agree, I could not manage without Babywearing. Oz has been ill a bit recently with tummy upsets, and has been in limpet mode (ie: clung on my back like a toddler-sized barnacle) and without my trusty wrap-stash I'd have been driven insane lol!
I had a lovely chat today with a woman from Ghana who was admiring us in our fav wrap atm: Olaf :D

Aww so lovely Jin-hee - even though we all wear our babies daily its nice to just stand back and appreciate the joy that is babywearing. :]

Ahh Jin-Hee that is so sweet. It is at those moments when you think 'this is all it's cracked-up to be, I have got it right and it works'!.
Here's to babywearing, may we all wear our babies (however big) with love and pride and joy in our hearts :D !
XX to Kai, missed you both at Hannah's on Monday.

You're all so right, it is fabulous to be able to help our babies and ourselves in this way.
Today I took Mila to the Osteopathic Centre for Children (and bumped into Leom which was just wonderful!!) and I could not carry her on my back as she was sneezing profusely and needing constant wiping and 'snot management', so I carried her on my front in a woven wrap for the first time, and it was sooooo comfy!!!
It was really wonderful to be able to carry her on my front again. Wraps rock :D
As I'm on my own for half of the week I couldn't cope nearly as well as I do if I didn't have the option of wearing Mila.
How DO other people cope????
xx
PS: REALLY missed you all so much yesterday!!

Walked around filled with love of babywearing.
but LADIES and GENTLEMEN... do remember to check your DC's feet BEFORE popping them oh so casually into your sling...
We had a rather smelly end to our day today when I put M into a hotsling after park walking and he had trodden in 8o 8o 8o All our clothes are currently in the washing machine with a cupful of teatree oil... would use bleach if I could.. but clothes are coloured. ;)
PS how would I tell if M had worms??????

So true, so true :D
I didn't wear James half as much as I do Bea and I feel a bit :( about that. With no 2 it's definitely the way forward - no buggy to get in the way when you're chasing your toddler round the park, and you have both hands free to play with aforesaid toddler. If I need to get on with stuff and she needs attention, she just gets whipped onto my back and joins in the cooking/cleaning/internet shopping ;) I do love our walks out when she falls asleep against my chest - so many 6 month olds dont' get that skin to skin feeling any more :(
Anyway, I've rambled but I just wanted to say I hear you and I salute you all!

Mamas,
I love you girls!
Babywearing is great but if I didn't have you lot to share with, it wouldn't have been this great.
Another happy moment! :D
Jo, Julian is my fav. at the moment, but I am very fickle. :D
Leom, I think in a couple of month, I'll have that "feet" problem. Kai is so close to walking. :) :(

i had a similar aaahhh! moment yesterday. wore ds on my hip for the first time yesterday and took him out for a walk in the park as soon as he was awake. it was really lovely as he could look up at me and take in his surroundings too. i could see what caught his eye and we walked up to wierd fir trees and he reached out to touch the prickly leaves. you just can't have that kind of communication in a buggy. when he finally fell asleep again it was a smile that said what a happy afternoon he'd had.

did you see any worms in the poo?
MoominHannah
29-11-2006, 06:38 PM
Worms would show up in his nappy. Also have a peek up his bum, if he'll let you - not too nice I know, but you can sometimes see them hanging out - I only know this because I grew up in Indonesia where all the kids are riddled with worms. My mum was on constant worm-patrol... 8o
He might also want to itch a bit, and might try sticking his hands down his nappy which is a pretty good sign of worms - keep his hands ultra clean or he'll re-infect himself by passing the eggs from his bum to his mouth, and the whole cycle will continue.
If you're worried, the doc can give you some sachets of worm-killer for him to drink, they'll die in his tummy and then he'll poo them out :D
Anyway, I've already shown more than a little too much of my in-depth knowledge of worms. You're probably all scared...
