Washing a Kozy

I've just received my second hand Kozy carrier and would like to wash it before I start using it. It didn't come with care instructions so I was wondering if anybody out there can tell me how I can wash it?

If your Kozy has black straps then it would be a good idea to wash it on cold using a detergent without brighteners. I like to use the 'handwash' or gentle cycle.

Thanks. Mine's got natural coloured straps, with the Portsmouth fabric (green, blue and taupe stripes), but I guess gentle cycle would still be a good idea.
