This is like the babywearer's confession booth. Post what's in your stash here and update whenever there's a change. The main purpose of this so you know who you need to ask if you would like to try out a certain type of sling.
I'll post my stash at the weekend (gulp)!

Ugh, I just asked this in the SM thread..
LOL at the confessional -how true.
I have a Native Baby pouch and a fleece wrap that is gorgeous and loving at the moment.
Can't wait to see what everyone else has!

Wow! I've just started reading Sling Meet, but I am so impressed by how many slings you have! I bought my one (and only :( ) sling when Jessica was 2 months old, it is a freedom wrap. I'm just interested in why you have different styles though - i love my wrap, and i use it daily, It's so easy to tie (heh, even hubby can do it :D ), and to be honest, I am scared to try any of the others!
Just curious - I know it's an old thread, I just think it's cool that so many other people are so into babywearing! I think I'm regarded as a strange 'hippy type' here in our village! :)

Hi - I've just joined the forum and am looking forward to meeting other babywearers in my area, I seem to be the only one out of my friends who lugs my baby around on a regular basis!
I have the following slings:
Baby Bjorn (rubbish, only got it because my boyfriend wanted one)
Sling Easy
Hug-a-bub
Peanut Shell in microfleece
Each have their advantages and disadvantages. I have just ordered a New Generation Ergo carrier as my little one is approaching the 20lb mark and puts quite a strain on my shoulder when I use my ring sling, although I would say for ease this is my favourite at the moment.
Just wondered why you want to trade your Ergo for a Patapum Denie? They look pretty similar, are the Patapum better?
I'm hankering after a lightly padded Maya and also a Mei Tei but will have to save up for these to feed my addiction!

Hi Kate
Are you based in Faversham?? I think I met your friend Sally at the last slingmeet in Rochester and the LLL in Chatham. She suggested the next meet to be in faversham at the soft play centre, which is apparently closeto the town centre and good for those who don't drive??? I'm happy to come to Faversham ( a first for me) if you swould like to make it to the next meet???
Let know :)

Hello Fay,
Yup that's me.
I would love it if you came to Faversham to meet (I'm a lazy old bag me).
The soft play centre is called the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Centre and is in Whitstable Road, Faversham.

I recon it's about a 15 min stroll from the station.
I look forward to meeting you all.

Well, compared to all of you, I'm very small fry in terms of collecting! But then, my daughter is only 8 weeks old, give me time!
I have:
Carrier-type ones:
a Tomy one - not sure what it's called, got it from someone on Freecycle
Wraps:
Kari-me (burgundy)
Pouch Slings:
Brightslings fleece (Earl stripey one)
Ring Slings:
Freedom unpadded organic (it's on its way - ETA it's now here and is my favourite! I just need some in different colours now)
So, not much of a stash just yet, but I'm addicted already.

seeing all your lists is making me less nervous about buying and justifying my third.
i was intorduced to slinging when ds2 was 3months old, by greenplover and have never looked back. DS1 even wants carrying now, pretty hard as he's a bulky 2 year old, but i at least try (for a minute or 2)
wraps - moby: moss, bebina: rainbow (old stripe), calinbleu gauze: hot pink
ring sling - maya LP: rainbow, rockin' baby: purple swirl/black reversible
pouch: rockn' baby
MT - Ellaroo
Pod - Ellaroo
a few more in library which haven't included

Didymos indio and nino, Hoppediz, Girasol, Lana, Moby, BaraBarn and Vatanai
Also have ringslings, MTs, podaegis, an onbuhimo, a hotsling (size 3) and probably a couple of other odd bits and pieces.

I only started BW 3 weeks ago so my stash is basic and starting with the cheapies until I know I'll use them.
2 x Moby (1 is UV protection)
2 x Ellaroo - too scared of woven to even open the packets so far
1 x Maya tie MT - so far my favourite, easy to use and comfortable

I have:
- 1 premaxx (bagsling)
- 1 babybjorn - but no idea where it actually is as I have not used it for so long
- 1 Mei Tai - have used it a lot with my first to do back carry when he became bigger, but think I will invest in a better one at some point for my second son as it was a cheap one from Ebay and the straps are a bit short for my taste
- 1 Moby wrap (UV protection) which I bought just before my second son was born

Hey :)
Well, my baby hates having her head 'stuck' but she's not able to hold it up herself so I am constantly supporting her head. She's also wriggle-y but the 'worst' bit is that I can't breastfeed in it. If I wear her too low my back hurts and she can't see and it doesn't comply with KISS. If I wear her too high I can't nurse her.
I have bought a Beco Gemini in Espresso and it's fantastic. Her dad loves it too. It's so easy to get her in and out etc. :)
