Hi Fazzie

I'm using the MaM Deluxe BWing cover and really loving it :D http://www.naturalmothering.co.uk/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7&products_id=98 It's only £30 so very reasonably priced.

It's really easy to get on the back by yourself, and lovely and snuggly and warm for them. It also keeps off the rain, although you might want to use an umbrella too, just to keep the rain off their head (although it comes with a hood, it's not easy to get the hood on by yourself).

I'm reasonably warm underneath all the baby and cover, so I don't have to wear too many winter clothes, so far. But I think it will also be really easy to wear a winter coat underneath, then baby on top, then cover.

Good luck.

xx

We're using the MAM deluxe cover too - instead of the detachable hood it comes with, we have been using one of these snuggle hoods:

which is wonderful for us as Oz won't wear a hat, and in any case hats fall off and get lost. The hoods keep their necks warm too :D

thanks guys... looks like i've got some research to do!! have also found a poncho on ecobabies.com which looks like it'd do the job, but may make me look like a short triangle! (i'm only 5"4')

We're loving our Kindercoat, still a little pricy but cheaper than the mamajacket.

Do you find it easy to get on by yourself?
