i didn't take any pics at the meet, as every time someone tried on a fluffy i seemed to have my hands full with ruben... i did bring my camera but it went mostly unused :roll: i know joy took some pics though, i'm sure she will post them later! we had a fab time despite a couple of people not making it, and some of us went on to have lunch together afterwards (and possibly recruited another BWer in the cafe!)

what i do have a pic of though is this... ruben fell asleep on the way back and stayed asleep as i gently lowered him off my back onto the sofa (he's a light sleeper, this is almost unheard of!!!) - he is still sleeping there now an hour later! absolutely zonked!

must have been the sight of all those lush fluffies, they must have overwhelmed him! :lol: i fell in luuuuurve with a FH onbu that joy has, so if anyone has one not getting any love i'm kind of ISO one of those now!

Thanks all for welcoming this newbie to the meet. Hats off to Joy for sorting the venue and lugging two big bags of slings as well as Seth and a big bump, and total respect to Max and Theo's mum (sorry mind gone blank on your name doh sorry) for making it to the meeting within a week of Theo's arrival, and equipped with about fifty mei taes to boot! You are wonderful inspiring women. Hope to see everyone at the next meet.

Abbey Park 12th November 2006

We were very lucky with the weather - it was gorgeous! The older kids seemed to have a good time running around the park, and had a good look at the animals in pets corner. :D

In the end there was just Em with Max and Theo, Joy & Sam with Seth and "Pud", and me and my OH with Ruben - we need to do some recruiting guys!

Here are the few pics I have on my camera. my OH did wear ruben for a while but I didn't get a pic of him - typical! Any of you others catch him?? lol

Hope you don't mind me gatecrashing! Just wanted to say GREAT photos!

Joy, you have a comment about Joey Slings being huge - I just wanted to say that you were trying on an old style Joey (I can tell from the fabric toy loop) - they have Changed A LOT since then - including the dimensions of the body. :D Hope you get to try a new one soon!

Aww man! I liked the hugeness.. I've been gushing about the incredible hugeness :D

Seth is so tall already, needs the shoulder support if he's sleeping, but won't tolerate a sleep hood, so the Joeysling MT Emma had seemed perfect!

I do offer a tall body one for toddlers! People just have to let me know before ordering.

The normal ones are 21 inches (upto head rest) and 25 inches with headrest, and 16 inches wide.

Is that Emma who is known as Eigchick? If so she had a second.

We had a fab time- and Max was shattered.
My 12yr old stepdaughter was there too- and wanted to know when she would be able to carry Theo "in one of those things" lol-- I told her when he had a bit more head control (although it's fab for a 3 week old)

Couldn't get round to everyone to chat wraps nearly as much as I'd have liked to, looking forward to having my speed and wrapper energy back for sure ;)

Lovely pictures Emma. I have not managded to make a Leics. NINO meet yet. I am currently 23 weeeks pregnant and due in the Spring. Looking forward to catching up with you all in the new year.

got to try joy's (well sam's, really...) toddler taitasi MT, it was niiiice! i only realised when looking at the photo that one shoulder strap was twisted - and it was STILL really comfy! wow! must add to wishlist and remember to buy lottery ticket this week in the hope of winning enough money to come off the "wagon"! lol
